As a producer and arts administrator, Esmé has supported live art in venues such as Manhattan Theatre Club, Eugene O’Neill Theater Center, Breaking the Binary Theatre Festival, Classic Stage Company, Little Island, Joe’s Pub, The Tank, The Connelly Theater, and is currently the Company Management Fellow at Wicked on Broadway.

As a playwright, Esmé seeks to embody the phenomenon of laughing at/through the pain. They look for joy in inappropriate moments, with often-understated-sometimes-surrealist aesthetics and complicated characters. Their plays have gained them recognition as a Eugene O’Neill Finalist, a Lambda Literary Playwriting Fellow, and a June Bingham Playwriting Commission recipient.
